15 years of ComVISTEC

Our company history

  1. We found ComVISTEC with a scholarship at Kempten University of Applied Sciences. Our initial focus is developing the FIPS image processing framework.

  2. We develop native iOS and Android apps with a focus on image processing. Our own modules enable camera effects, document detection and recognition of multiple QR codes on mobile devices.

  3. We expand our core business to include mobile inspection of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic components. Image processing supports comparison with engineering drawings. BayStartUP documents this application in 2016 in the context of the Swabia business plan competition.

  4. We develop stationary systems for component inspection and general quality inspection using industrial cameras. Our mobile image processing work evolves into solutions for industrial inspection tasks.

  5. Our website shows a focus on intelligent cameras, deep learning and prepared image datasets. We present Annotation.ComVISTEC, our own data labelling tool, and services around training neural networks. These years refer to documented versions of our website.

  6. We fundamentally refocus our business on AI, large language models and process automation. Today, we develop AI-enabled applications, integrate company knowledge and connect systems through MCP interfaces and agentic workflows.

  7. Today, we optimise business processes for small and medium-sized companies. We develop AI applications, make company knowledge accessible and automate recurring tasks.
